To answer your question on how long it takes you to build a model?
    Answer:
How long is a piece of string?????
Or if you ask my neighbours grandson, befor the kettle has boiled would be his answer.

I've gone for the time it takes me to paint and base a unit of 12 28mm miniatures. I reckon about three to four weeks, but that varies wildly depending on the weather, other commitments - and how many new techniques I've learned off Tim Marlow . They make my painting better - but slower!

I average between 10 and 12 models per year. at this rate and the size of my stash I have between a 60 to 70 year supply of unbuilt kits to keep me busy......not to mention the odd Diorama that gets built along the way. At my present age that would make me somewhere between 130 to 140 years old if I don't buy anymore models. Model on! :tongue-out3: :tongue-out2::tongue-out: Rick H.:thumb2:

No wrong I only have 15. Yow did not realize it was that many. Must get frugal .

Now at 3 a year that will bring me to 89yrs of age. That is pushing it a bit.
Perhaps I should buy some more & trust in him above. The Master of All Model Builders.

I have said that I am going, definitely, for a century. This does, with complicated
calculation, caution me to invest in another 33 kits.

                Wow exciting stuff.

I am a variable builder. This means that i can blast through a build or take a year to do one. Many factors are involved such as family, work and mental health. I would also add that sometimes i just get bored with a build and will come back to it.

I have about 20 StuGs and 10 or so ships.

ME is now playing a bigger part in life and of course model making, bouts of fatique and lack of interest are driving me nuts but bugger all i can do

Between 1-3 months for me, depending on the size of the Diorama.
As for the "How long is a piece of string" question, the answer is simple....
                      Twice half it's length

Brilliant, Andy. I always thought the answer was "42" but you have corrected that misconception ...
