1:32 for me as i now find that 48 and 72 are too fiddly for my knackered fingers. although with some subjects i will have to go down the scales as i cannot get the required kit in 32 or it would be far to big in 32.

I build most in 1:35, largely because military vehicles are my main area of interest and this is the go-to scale for that. The few aircraft I build, I do in 1:72 mostly because they don’t need much room and kits are reasonably priced, if not downright cheap

Other than that, though, I would build in any scale if it’s something that suits my fancy.

Most of my current output is in 28mm figures, and that’s about 1/56…..not in your list :loudly-crying: Cars are usually 1/24, bikes 1/12, armour 1/35 and planes 1/48. Railways were 1/76.2. I do sometimes work in 1/72 as well, but that’s called 20mm to me…..yep, another butterfly here!

135 for military and 148 (mostly) for aircraft. Boats and ships, from 172 through to 1350.

1/72, far to small would need the hubble telescope to see it! 1/35 armour, ok StuG. About to assault 1/16, 1/350 ships, like the 1/200 ships but how the hell do you display something that big lol

Mainly 1/35 for dios and armour, 1/48 for single engined planes and 1/72 for bombers although I have some large scaled bombers, 1/700 for ships, 1/350 ships if I can finish my 1/700 stash. I have done one 1/24 scale BF109 with a few others in the stash and a few odd scaled figures and one 1/100 scaled USS Constipation waiting in the wings. I have carved one to one scaled trees, Tutankhamun and camels for a stage.

Let's just say if it's doable than I'll have a go at it.

              Cheers,
              Richard

An interesting point is answered in the video below. The poll quotes 1:32 and 1:35 as being ‘almost identical’.

Well what is the difference in size between a 1/35 bf109 and a 1/32 bf109?

That’s question is answered and the answer is a lot more than perhaps we think!

I noticed that too, but decided not to make a point of it There’s a 9% difference between the two, and though this means figures are kind of interchangeable (as long as you give them weapons and equipment in only one of the two scales), I wouldn’t say vehicles or aircraft are.
