The only change it's the shop name. It's changed from Amati to AMT since Amati split its retail activity from the production, the latter still under the well known trade mark Amati.
But I'm digressing from the thread topic: as every modeller exiting a model shop, my hands were not empty :flushed:

Useless to add that my intent was to get some paints (the 4 Tamiya) and thinners but the Spit was there, the only 1:72 on the shelf, with it's inviting price tag... how could I ever leave the shop without it, generating a lot of bitter regrets that would have harrowed my poor soul for the rest of my life...:loudly-crying: or, in other, more famous, words I resist everything but temptation.:tongue-out3:

Nice that the shop is still there Andrea, of course you had to buy the plane, it was calling to you.:smiling3:

Unusual - I looked at the 1/72 version, but then realised that there was quite a bit of rigging, so 1/48!

      Looks a tricky build Dave....

I paid a visit to my most local proper shop today. They're mostly into the r/c stuff, but do stock a few kits and are handy for 'supplies'...

          Sorry for got to resize.
I've made and primed the figures - they are excellent - I'll get round to painting them soon. Tamiya have come on leaps and bounds since the early days!

I'm wondering where I can get a suitable pilot - civilian clothes, bare headed, perhaps a little too much to expect I'll find one.................

Relative --- it's the great grandfather Tovarich! Read your (revised) history!
