Mark - the Argentine landing craft did not have a lot of markings on them - the main were the flag on either side and a vehicle number -
sometimes duplicated on the front but larger.

Gecko Models did a set in their LARC-V kit # 35GM0040 (This consists of 3 decals).
( Scroll down to Page 20 here - Gecko Instructions - the decals are P21 !).

You could contact Gecko direct or their UK distributor - or ask John inn the shop can he obtain them ??
Or maybe post a link on For Sale/Wanted to see if there is anyone with un-used decals from this kit?

HTH,

Paul.

The Hobby Boss kit has Argentinian decals (last page but one), for a camouflaged vehicle rather than an all-green one but I doubt it will make a lot of difference. You could normally have mine, but unfortunately, as I said in the other thread, I kind of need them myself for that kit … Sorry

I still have the later version of the hobby boss kit coming, I'll see what that comes with.

So nothing special, more of a lessons learnt issue......

.....when you're in the middle of cleaning an AB and have the needle cover off, do not, under any circumstances drop the AB point down onto a very hard surface.......:tired::tired::tired::crying::crying ::crying::crying:

....fortunately the Iwata needles are about a 1/3 of the price of the nozzles....let's not get into how I know that!! :tired: :crying:

Interestingly though (at least I think so), I don't actually have an Iwata AB. Officially, my 0.2mm AB is a Tamiya Superfine AB (74514) but a number of the parts are actually Iwata, including the important bits like needle and nozzle (link). So when you consider this was well under £100 I don't think I did too badly - until of course you break bits........:sad:

I hope they’re in there, but I kind of doubt they will be, as all the later versions are of the LVTP-7A1, AAV-7A1 or later, and IIRC Argentina only had the “A0” version with the rounded headlight guards.

An unexpected day off work while in Valencia lead me to Maqueta’s Casa Gimenez where I bagged Tamiya’s 1/350 Fletcher class destroyer and a tube of fine polishing paste.

Sorry to say but Stoppel hobbies has closed! :-(
The owner died after a long illness and had no one to take it over. I only found out while hunting for Christmas present wishes.
A great loss to the modellers of Sealand.

Well that’s a sad blow. I’d only recently (early 2020) had the chance to visit his shop after all the years of visiting CPH. I did think he was getting on in years and was well past retirement age.
Thanks for the advice.

Thanks Peter that’s the yellow one right? Do you plan on starting it soon? Be neat if you could have a Helicopter GB this spring.

Commiserations, Andrew. I reckon everyone should consider having a spare needle to hand.

I got my first airbrush just last year. And inevitably, when first trying to use it, I clogged it up right-royally.

And inevitably, while dismantling it to get it working again, I bent the needle. And of course, I had no spare needles, so I couldn't get straight back on that hoss to continue working out how to use it.

By the time a replacement needle arrived, I was back at square-one - and did it all over again, including bending the needle! Second time around I ordered two replacement needles, and so far I've not needed that second spare.

To anyone starting out with an airbrush I'd say - get a spare needle right from the off!
