Just checked..... Yours is a 2007 new tool. I have a ProfiPack E 2012 new tool, which started the line up of their 1/72 110s, a Weekend Addition C and a ProfiPack G-4.....

No mention of nacelle or any problems for that matter.... In fact the E review I found from a well known review site said this.....

The fit of all the major and minor parts is brilliant, and building the model was a very enjoyable experience. You can forget any preconceptions you might have about the 1/48 scale kits - this one is viceless.

Let's hope they live up to the hype!!

I see on the box, it says Canopy is injected. Any idea what that means? I'm pretty new to this so it may mean nothing special. I've just never seen it before.

It means the canopy is moulded in clear plastic as a normal kit part, and not vacuum-formed out of a sheet of clear plastic.

At my door, the postwoman delivered this today:

The second part of my order from International Models Asia: a small box girder (SBG) bridge for mounting on a Churchill AVRE (which has unfortunately been overtaken a little by the announced AFV Club kit, but I ordered it months ago so I couldn’t have know that) and tracks for the SKP kit of the A30 Challenger, because the ones supplied in it are … not great

Bought this 2002 book, brand new from Sarik (who usually sell R/C plans). Perhaps the book is dated by modern standards, but still makes good "bedtime reading".

The original Special Hobby Beaufort had vac-formed canopies ( like plastic blister packing ), which was tricky to deal with - the later versions had injection moulded clear parts - much easier. Vac-forming was pretty common in the 70/80s, from mainly 'garage' manufacturers, who specialised in unusual subjects. Tooling for this process was generally home made, labour intensive, had a high reject rate & didn't last long. Not something that is common, these days.........

Vacuum-formed kits aren’t really made anymore largely because they’re difficult (at the least) to build. I called it “assisted scratchbuilding” on here before, because that’s pretty much what it is: you get the main parts, often with the larger detail moulded in in a not-too-sharp way, and had to decide for yourself how to best add them together and build all the other details.

Are your pins made of special steel? Are they bendable without breaking?.
Sorry for the delay in replying - they are made of steel and can bend without breaking.

My late mother-in-law and I exchanged the same birthday card for about 5 years. It had about 5mm thickness of Tippex on it when we stopped!

And the final part of my order from IMA arrived already:

This box doesn’t look as nice as those of the other kits I ordered, but inside it’s not as basic as it appears at first sight:

My model has pneumatic tyres instead of the spoked wheels shown in the instructions, but both types are available so I guess they include the same instructions.

What I will say Jakko is that it looks very well packed. Occasionally I have had parcels, not just modelling related, where the packaging is so inadequate it's a miracle anything arrived. If I give feedback on an online purchase I often comment on the standard of packaging.
                              Well done IMA.

You are as bad as me and the lady I garden for , same envelope used for my monthly account. The front of the envelope is full of names , to and fro.
Why waste an envelope when it coming back to you.
