I suspect the model is old enough that it’s from the “scale to fit the standard-size box” days …

It didn’t seem right leaving the shop with just the paint.

….and before anyone starts, I know that is for a nine, and I’m doing a twelve….but no one makes a twelve IP at the moment, and this looks almost identical to the out of print Eduard twelve IP…..

                  Hi Jakko,

I just checked out their website and they do have some really interesting stuff and the prices + shipping are reasonable too.
How good is the casting quality of the resin? Air bubbles/blemishes? It looks great in their pics, but I wonder if customs will hit hard as it comes from HK. Thanks......

                  Prost

The casting quality is very good, as far as I can tell from a quick look and some test-fitting. There was one part where a piece was a bit thinner than it should be, and some very thin bits were warped, but no air bubbles, let alone nothing someone with a little experience with resin can’t sort out.

As for the import duties: this one got sent as a gift, with no mention of the company name on the package, and it got delivered to my door today with no import duties, VAT or handling fees attached. I ordered more from IMA together with this, thinking that a single shipment would mean less handling fees, but if they all come through like this it’ll be fine

Camo mask sets for the Stuka and Gladiator, two packs of decal stripes, paints in RLM65 and RLM71 for the Stuka, some sanding sticks. Stynylreez primer, 10mm masking tape, and a couple of bottles of Mr Hobby cements to try out.

The Me 321 is probably more a dive-bomber, though … put it into a dive, open those big air brakes that form the plane’s nose, and all the bombs slide right out the front!
