A throwback to last century modelmaking, and how I became interested in odd aircraft that weren't produced by the big makers - vacforms - real garage productions. Hallam-Vac was just down the road from me, in Sheffield ( early to late 80's ). I made one other of their models - a Westland Welkin, bought directly from the maker at the local IPMS.............
An ebay purchase - vacform, with white metal parts by Aeroclub ( anyone remember John Adams? ). Valom did a limited run model of this ( pricey! ). 147 Brigands were made to replace the Beaufighter, it saw action in Malaya post - war. These models take a bit of work, but at <£11 delivered, a bit of nostalgia!

Hi all
So what follows has been arriving over the past three weeks or so but I've not had time to do it justice and I also had to wait a bit longer than I thought for some of it, plus other things kept getting ordered.....:smiling5:

Some Vallejo paints to fill a couple of gaps in my range...not very exciting TBH
As you know I've been branching out on wingy things for a while now but have only got masks when they came as part of the kit, so I had some catching up to do - the thought of DIY ones on all the planes I have was keeping me awake at night!!!
As you can see most are Eduard but the three bottom right are Montex. I've already used the 109 Montex mask - my first use of an AM canopy mask - and was very impressed
This was the final piece to arrive - today - and it's my first foray into masks for markings. I hadn't intended to go that far but they came in at a very reasonable price.....but wait, if you've been keeping track of my Hunters and Hunted collection you'll remember I don't have a Whitley..... :rolling:
This fell into my cart when I was getting the masks, not sure how much I'll use but thought I'd add some bling to Mossie for the GB - definitely an extravagance though....:rolling:
So this Daimler Armoured Car is for Junior's British forces. He already has one but thought it would be nice to do a full troop. Got this for only a smidge over £10 delivered - the third cheapest e-Bay sale at the time; most go for £12+ and often by quite a bit more.
So remember that Whitley I don't have.......whilst there are a few of the maritime variants around, the bomber version is like hens teeth unless you want to pay stupid prices i.e. £40. This was the cheapest eBay 'recent sales' by some way and cost me £20+p&p - not cheap in absolute terms but relatively speaking a very good price and I think was also a bit under the original RRP too....:smiling3::smiling3::smiling3::smiling3::sm iling3:

Bought so that I can join Ian's GB. It was pre-owned but new in the box and a bit cheaper than buying new. As I know this kit will be popular I bought aftermarket decals to build it as an Israeli AF plane which hopefully will be something different.
I have cockpit masks and a PE instrument panel on order.
