      It is very nicely produced on lovely thick paper have given it a quick blimp got some of the colour callouts confused but seems ok not to confusing more used to bad perspective drawings and sprues with no numbers so won't know myself if and when.

          I Devonian groat = 4 Devonian Gissits, I Devonian Gissit = 1 Cornish Pastie ... Wow, now I remember scratching those mathematics on a slice of Delabole slate! ( Can't remember the lower rate of exchange for a Pastie though :thinking: )

            You're very close there Steve...
            ... A good memory for a man of your  fading advancing years!!
            1Gissit is indeed a fair price for a Cornish pasty... BECAUSE as we ALL know, the ORIGINAL Pasties did originate in Devon... therefore the, inferior, Cornish ones only cost "Gissits".... (As in "Gissit"...Give it to me for free),...

                  Hi all

                  So some general supplies that arrived have arrived sporadically since Saturday - the rods on the left are 5 and 6mm round rounds.

                    Saw this on eBay so put in a cheeky bid and got it for £49, it used to sell for £119, has been out of production for a few years now and with the impending demise of Tommy's war was surprised i got it so cheap;

                    Tommy's War TW32S01 – ‘L’ Battery RHA and the action at Néry, 1st September 1914 £119.00

                      A friend just up the road (aka in the town) put this up on the book of faces for a fair price. For here at least. £75. No postage or import duties :smiling3:
                      How times have changed £75 for a Airfix box of goodies, still remember the pocket money Airfix kits in polythene bags and a weird shaped 'thing' of glue lol.

Let us know how the spending goes. Dave

                          Very true Steve, but even I must say that the box, which is a good size 45x25x7 cm is stuffed full of very nicely detailed, fairly hard plastic.
                          I was going to give it a miss due to the price but when a friend has one... well it would have been rude not to.

                              Hi all

                              So I have been paying attention to Dave's comments on being patient on eBay auctions and not getting sucked in, and it's finally paid of with this for my Hunters and Hunted collection

                              Revell did both the old Matchbox kits and their own newer versions from the early 2010s.

                              Including P&P, the cheapest recent eBay sale was £23.70. There are handful in the mid to high £20s. Most go for between £30 and mid-£40s. I've even seen the old Matchbox ones go for over £50......the highest price I've seen is £80 incl. P&P.

                              So what did I pay? £24.19 all in..........and the sale was a buy it now from a a charity, so I the money went to a good cause too and I can thus feel free of all guilt!!

                              The only downside........my wife was in when the parcel arrived.....and it's not a small box! :sad-face:
