Thanks Jim. Knew a few people on here had said good things about them. I would like to try lacquer paints one day but given that my model table is in our kitchen....and I value my marriage......

Mike, thanks for the tip re the masking tape. As for de-tacking the tape, I always do that now regardless, following someone's advice on here.

Thanks Jakko.....masking tape issue duly noted!

Silly comments aside, I fancied several time to get that kit: are you going to build it soon?
I will be waiting to see another build of this by one of the YouTubers who have said they will be doing the kit, hopefully they ill pick up any pitfalls that might exist before I start...

I currently have the 1/24 Italeri jeep kit to finish and its not been the best so its a bit of a shelf queen at present until I decide on the best way to align the front grill and radiator assembly.

The Takom kit looks a way better design, though I don't think I will follow the instructions 100% and will build the body tub and chassis separate.
        Cheers

Lovely….a Tarpon! Got one in the stash myself. I was really taken by the one at the FAA museum Yeovilton, so came home with a kit of it……I think mine’s Hobbyboss though.

The Accurate Miniatures moulds ( also been boxed by Hasegawa & Academy ) - I made a Battle of the Atlantic boxing years ago - a really nice model that is still up to modern standards, and with those extras should be a real stunner - the paint masks are essential, with all that glass ( I did mine without, and it took me as long to paint the canopies/turret as the rest of the model. ) - A good buy

A bit of retail therapy it's been on my branch of hobby craft shelf for some months so I took pity on it and gave it a good home. Click image for larger version
