Self-explanatory bits and bobs - apart from the paper-covered florists wire, which is for making a tree.

      Hi all

      So some pre-Christmas arrivals.

The paints are a recommendation from Ian M as good matches for RAF roundel red and blue (on this thread). The IP is a bit of bling for my ancient Airfix Hampden and a very good price from Poland. :smiling3:

Next up a couple of realdepartures for me and although I cannot prove it, I'm blaming AlanG for my lack of resolve. :sad-face:

As you know I'm almost exclusively a 1/72 man. Now in his defence, Alan has not specifically recommended these but as we know he does like a large scale wingy thing or three. We have had a number of PM chats since the Spring, generally me seeking his advice, although we did recently discuss the heat output of a female pig; FYI a 200Kg sow can apparently produce 3Kw!!

I can only assume that Alan had been including subliminal messages in our PM chats. For example, "Large scale planes are excellent!", "You must buy larger planes!!", "Big is best!!". I say this because recently I have found myself looking at large scale wingy things.........then I started to bid on them on FleaBay and so ended up with the below. :astonished:

The Weekend Edition Spitfire was an auction win. Although it's still available on general purchase I managed to win it for £16 and a bit incl. p&p, a couple of quid less than the cheapest price I could find online, and it was in fact the cheapest recent purchase. I have just ordered a canopy mask but even so I think it's still a good price for what looks to be a great looking kit on the sprue.

The ProfiPack 109 was a 'buy now' price for a few quid cheaper then the next best 'buy now' price and it was only £1.50 off the best recent purchase price. It of course comes with the full bells and whistles.

I would just like to take a moment to reassure those into their tracky things that I have not abandoned the ground....I'm just broadening elevating my horizons!

      Happy Christmas to you all!

      ATB

      Andrew

When you said 'large scale' I thought you'd gone and bought a 1/24 Spitfire IX! - disappointment......

John - that VMS Ballast Freeze is good stuff. You'll find it very useful.

For once i am going to say "I'm not guilty on this one". I refer you to the 'not specifically recommended' section of your libelous comments. If i had in fact done 'a job' on you, you'd have ventured into 1/32 scale

Can't wait to see what the other presents you have that i may or may not know what they are already lol

Bought for use in a GB but not really suitable so will get something else. Beautiful car though.
