          Looks quite “Flash Gordon“ doesn’t it! Definitely an Art Deco vibe there.

              Grey Matter Figures closing down.

              Statement;

              It is with a heavy heart that due to illness, we have decided to cease trading. We will be offering all of the casting equipment, racks and all associated Master patterns for sale. Would prefer collection in the UK, but could be other arrangements.

                Another one bites the dust............I just found out that my favorite Hobby shop in the World has closed its doors and My friend Cliff and his wife Pam are retiring.......when I was living in the S.F. Bay area I used to haunt the place on a regular basis........they had all the good stuff, no waiting, no ordering just bring your list and some loose cash and you went home a happy camper every time. When I moved to MT. I did mail order with them because I knew I could always get it there first. I heard someone on the forum mention "Art Deco" Check out this architecture.........Click image for larger version

                  What a great building, real shame about the shop closing, but as I’m retired as well I can understand it.

                    Agree with Tim, Art Deco being one of my favourite styles, probably why I like watching Poirot.
                    Sad when a seller like that either retires or has to close because of illness.

                        Looking at it again there’s a certain “Flintstone” vibe to it…..did you live in Bedrock Rick?

                                I would say that the Bauhaus movement in art and architecture had a finger in that house.
