Thanks guys….we have half a dozen chuckles in the Longfield home for retired gentlechickens at the moment. When we get a new intake they are always named by their defining characteristics. Big Bertha, along with her compadre Bessie Bunter, is always at the forefront when the corn and meal comes out, hence thier names. They are the two on the left….



As to her eggs, they are normal size, but of excellent taste, so they make more impact than normal shop bought eggs….just like those from her five sisters.

Yep, two moggies that ignore the chucks, and the chucks ignore them Bob. To be honest, the chucks are about the same size as the cats so they have mutual respect.
There is also no way I need a chicken flap, unless I can also get chuckle diapers…..and what you don’t get from the picture is that they tap on the windows to get our attention…..to be honest the Longfield chuckle home is more like St Trinian’s. They are right hooligans.
