I have tried this and the trick is using enough pressure to get the letra-set to lay down and stay down but not so mush it was impossible to peel off again with the Sellotape..

What does “Magfire Compatible” mean? When I search for “Magfire” all I find are air rifles, which no doubt you can use on this F-16, but it would be a bit of a shame to do so, if you ask me.

I was getting fire alarms but eventually discovered it's a magnet system for attaching the ordnance....

Didn't Tamiya do something similar on the cowling of a 1/48 Bf 109? Or am I imagining things?

Be nice to see which Danish one they have found. Bet its the three tone grey one..... Gabe... (Danish for Yawn)
Should be interesting to see the kit though, their 'old'f-16' was pretty good wonder what they have done with a new tooling?

I do vaguely remember seeing it being used elsewhere for something but can't remember what....

It was Tamiya, they had them in the loose cowls so you could pop them off and show the Merlin off. Either they never fitted 100% or they fell off all the time. I think most left the magnets out and either glued the panels in or left them off.

Some wargamers use magnets for tank turrets.

It should be noted that the Border Model U-boat is the conning tower and midships deck section in waterline - a full hull model would be 1.9m long!

Nice!! 1.9 meters, that would be an awesome build and require one whole shelf in the "Man" cave!! :thumb2: :thumb2:

Andrea Miniatures used to have a full Type VII in 1:32. I saw it for sale at Euro Militaire 20 years ago, the hull (fibreglass, IIRC) was packed in what amounted to a two-metre-long wine crate
