Nothing new but this greatly excited me.
A few 1/32 lightnings available from China all of a sudden.
Price seems very reasonable compare to what these usually go for.
Down side is about 3 months wait for it to arrive.
I have gone for one as it's always good to have a reserve and price is far lower than the last one I bought also as my other half seems incapable of seeing that one is clearly and F2A/F6 and the other is a F1A/F3. Have sold this to the other half as it's bought the average cost down so by having two I have paid less.
I hope maybe there is a new run and we will see these in the SM shop soon as I think I will get another of each so I have proper spares and can actually build one).Comment

That’s pretty much what I was thinking too. Far better to buy a single kit rather than in installments: what if you miss one? “Yeah, you can see why the Titanic sank, what with having only half a hull and all …”Comment

Not many given how unmechanised Germany was before the war, compared to likes of the UK and in particular France..... And then there's the cost!Comment

[HEADING=1]Reconstruction workers after the war.[/HEADING]
Let’s begin with the most recent chapter: in 1945, the Second World War had ended, Germany lay in ruins – but things were destined to get better. Stuttgart was located in the American occupation zone. As early as November 1945, the economic agency granted the then Daimler-Benz AG a production permit for urgently needed platform trucks, panel vans and ambulances. These vehicles contributed to ensuring the survival of the population. The basic vehicle was the 170 V, a tried-and-tested pre-war design.
After the Second World War, it was platform trucks based on the 170 V that signalled the return to vehicle production.Comment
