I think the idea is a “what if?” model: “What if the Japanese had bought Tigers in quantity?” Sort of like the E-50, E-75 etc. German tanks, the American T29 heavy tank and more that all got released. But unlike those, to do this with a Tiger out of the box seems unnecessary to me: there are plentymore than enough Tiger kits as it is, and any modeller worthy of the name can add a Japanese machine gun and camouflage to one.
But the main reason seems to be as someone says in the thread I linked to above: “The Japanese themselves love this story” (of the Japanese Tiger), as witnessed by the manga covers he posts there too.Comment

I don't know how the situation has affected the import of Zvezda models, or if people are put off buying them, but the Zvezda STZ-5 is available
It'll be around the £27-30 nark. I only post this, as I know several people were interested in this, when it was announced pre-war. Looking at the instructions it has the usual Zvezda link & length tracks & looks very detailed!

Seems that Trumpeter are preparing a 1/ 350 O class German battlecruiser. These were to be built within the Z plan.
So paper ship, apparently its one of the optional ships in world of warships? With so many suitable 'real' ships to chose from seems they are following the Japanese Tiger release.Comment

Includes PE, masks, 4 decal options - and a template for scribing the camera hatch!
Also, on Facebook, ICM have posted 'we're working', and Miniart have posted pictures of completed customer models, good to see them attempting some normality............

Looks very much like the real one Jon. I think the image issues stem from the unmodulated paint finish and the photography. It’s just looks too flat, almost cartoonish.Comment
