    Second bite of Covid

Just tested positive for Covid…..it’s the second time I’ve had it  I had it pretty bad about two years ago. This time I just feel like I’ve got a head cold, which is completely different from the first bite it took out of me. At least you guys can’t catch it from electronic communications so while I’m isolating I will still have someone to talk to. Lucky you lot!

Not good but from what I've heard the newest variant does usually manifest much like a normal cold - it was certainly Junior's case when he had it.

        Hope ir doesn't get worse!

Cheers Andrew. Cold viruses are usually another type of coronavirus anyway, so it not surprising that it manifests like this. If the test hadn’t come up positive I would be absolutely convinced that I didn’t have it….Glad i had all my jabs now though…..

Poor you Tim, likewise I've been stuck down with a deep chest infection. Did a Covid test, thank goodness that was negative.
Luckily my Doctor's have agreed to me having a rescue pack of steroids and amoxicillin at home due to my asthma .Came in very handy to start on them as soon as I had that feeling .
Spent 2 days in bed just asleep . Fed up as can't go into the garden as it's cold .
Hopefully we will both recover soon .:smiling3:
                    Take care .

Sorry to hear this mate - until recently I never knew 'Covid' people - having heard you're recycled does that mean you're pushing for an invitation? Anyway, and seriously, I wish you and yours all the best; hope you and yours come out of this complete and unaffected. Good luck mate

Cheers John. Hope you get better soon as well. I know what you mean about the cold, our heating is currently not working properly, blocked microbore pipes giving poor flow and circulation. This coincides with a nasty cold spell and me having this…..coupled to my RA which is very weather impacted. I’m contacting the GP today as I will probably have to stop taking my RA meds (immunosuppressants) for a while so my immune system can fight the virus :anguished: Ain’t life grand

Had to smile when I read you were going to contact your GP today Tim.
Here we have ring and listen to a long explanation as to why there are so few staff, and they how won't tolerate verbal abuse ! By the time you listened to this long introduction your past careing about how long the call might take, you could be up to no 40 in the queue. Eventually you get through to a no doubt over stretched member of staff who takes your details . Yesterday I asked for a rescue pack of medications . " I think it's gone to a doctor, don't know why that one , I'll check if she's in This week "
Lucky me, I won a prize she was in that day .The call went on " Could you ring tomorrow again to check it's been actioned !
Since our surgeries have been taken over chaos has followed , so bad in fact after the last the practice was reviewed by the GMC it was labeled inadequate !
                            So good luck today .

It's funny, I'm in the opposite camp...

I've been carrying a very nasty cold for 10 days now and can't shift it....I even had 2 days off work in bed with it at the start of last week...and yet I've had five negative lateral flow tests over an eight day period .....

You're right about the jabs..... From everything over heard if they don't stop you catching it they do almost without exception stop it becoming serious.
