When the Airborne Forces Museum was located at Browning barracks in Aldershot I was always fascinated by a 1/72 diorama of the northern end of the bridge at Arnhem during the attack by an SS unit. It featured a section of the bridge and ramp with the towns buildings around it.
It must have been about 8 feet square.
I have no idea what happened to it , or many of the other exhibits, when the museum closed.

Probably all relocated to the Middle Wallop museum of army flying. They have a significant section on airborne operations, though it’s been a few years since I last went and I can’t remember if it was there or not….

The Bridge at Remargen has a few scenes. Making it with movie Chaffey tanks would be funny. Shermans were the real ones but by that time I think there were a few Chaffeys.

The one I really like to make is the Ox & Bucks exiting their Horsa with the Orne or Caen canal bridge just less than a hundred scaled down yards away.

There's an excellent model of this in the Pegasus Bridge Museum in Caen. I'll dig out a picture tonight

Oops actually it's of the battle for the bridge itself, not exiting the Horsa. I have the bronco model and figures in the stash ready..... One day:rolling:
