Having a bit of a problem

Not been at the bench, or on the forum much the last few days. Been laid low by something that seems to be a form of sleeping sickness! Can hardly keep my eyes open for more than an hour or so, it's screwed up my body clock, and that has had a knock-on effect on my Diabetes - which depends on me keeping to a strict routine. All of this combines to make me pretty miserable. Going to have a telephone consultation with my doctor tomorrow, will have to see how that goes. I've been taking my bp regularly, but that is pretty good ( 120/70 over the last four days ), and considering my now irregular routine, my blood sugars aren't that bad. ( Advice from the surgery ), so If I'm not around - I'm on it!

          Horrible news Dave
I hope you can get it sorted quickly.... A sign of the times though eh?....
" A telephone consultation" indeed, remember when they actually managed to visit people AT HOME to properly find out how to help people?!..
.... I'll do his synopsis right now for you mate,.....
"Lose weight, give up smoking, eat healthier, exercise more, and if that doesn't apply to you... Take Paracetamol....if you don't feel better in a fortnight, call again"
          .......
Just my personal thoughts of course!!

Andy - I'm sad to say I agree. It's almost impossible here to get a face to face appointment with a doctor.

That’s what happens when politicos move clinical decisions from the medical professionals and give them to bean counters I’m afraid. I want to shout at the politicos face to face “Its a service not a business. You aren’t making tins of beans, you are fixing human beings”.
Saying all that, my local surgery is excellent :flushed:

I was told I had high BP given some meds and it's still the same ! Getting through to our Doctors is a nightmare . They just had a final warning from the powers that be to sort themselves out .:anguished:

Reminds me of the old joke - doctor has a blocked toilet in his house, calls the plumber and insists he comes out to fix it urgently. Plumber comes out, throws two paracetamol in the toilet bowl, and say "If it doesn't clear in a week, call me again".

Can only repeat what the others have said she hope that you get to the bottom of it quickly and it's nothing serious.
