Just a note to let you know how Julie's getting on
Met the consultant yesterday, first time since the radiotherapy finished. After a check over and some detailed questions she is more than happy, so has discharged Julie from the specialist hospital, no need for a scan.
She now has to see another consultant every 3 months fir 2 yrs then 6 months
My god the relief, still not 100% clear but so happy to leave the hospital, the treatment was superb, staff caring, kind, funny, compassionate. Thank you NHS.
ATB.

hi Bob
sorry for not making a comment sooner but its still a subject i struggle with
i so glad the radiotherapy worked, i know too well what a grind it is going day after day, its not easy for everyone
my advice is never to take a day for granted, never pass up an oppertunity to say 'i love you' or give a hug to each other and enjoy life together
i wish you both long happinessPer Ardua
We'll ride the spiral to the end and may just go where no ones beenComment

Morn 'Admiral' Bob,
I can only join the chorus and wish you both all the best!!! If you can, please take some time and maybe a little holiday to relax and reduce the stress level. You both have been through hell and more than deserve it my friend. Please give my best wishes to Julie...

Only complaint which I mentioned to the consultant was that the road direction signs all say "Velindre cancer hospital ", we do not need reminding why you are going there.Comment
