Taking Mr Races idea I contacted a garage who install night heaters into trucks and the manager I taught 15 yrs back, sent me a ducting splitter for free as a thank you for helping him to learn!

Does not look very pretty but works, only problem is that the splitters are 75mm diameter and the hoses 100mm, but screwed the splitter to the wall and used tight cable ties. Good flow out of the window and could not find any air leaks on the pipes

I put mine out though the wall with a wind baffling thing on. And an insect net.

WOULD look better Bob m8 if you painted it white to match the pipes but as long as it keep your health ok very well done boyo

As convenient as that flexi stuff is it does effect the flow AND traps fluff and dust (and dry paint). The most efficient is to use smooth pipe and fittings and only use the shortest possible runs of the flexi tube stuff.

Agree ref smooth pipe and fittings, they are the most efficient if you can use them, especially if the junctions are “swept” in the direction of flow. However, air velocity will only be seriously impacted if the outlet tubing is of a markedly smaller diameter than the outlet from the spray booth. These are probably larger, so slowing down the air velocity and making them quieter in use.

Fluff and dust on the outside can obviously be removed by the occasional use of a hoover Ian . Fluff, dust, and dry paint shouldn’t build up on the inside though. That’s what the spray booth filters are there for :tongue-out3:

Going to leave as it is, spent enough lol. Had both booths on full speed ahead, lots of air leaving via the window. Also sprayed some Mr color in both booths, no smell of paint around the pipe joins etc

The use of smooth bore fittings are great if you can use them. I had 4 and 6 inch in my workshop from the saw ,sanding machine and planers etc .At home in the cave I just went straight through the the wall . Bob does have the problem of having to vent through the window , not having a wall vent .
Perhaps in time when he's fully settled he might use smooth bore pipe and go through the wall , think if we have a cold winter it might prove to be needed .

Will have to see John, not goy much room to fit a wall vent, small area and there's a lot of cables behind, could vent either side into the garage space

You can get flat channel vents. Pretty space saving.
