    I'm back!

Hi guys. Did you miss all my usual inane drivel the last few weeks? Not to worry, now I'm finally back up and running on the 'net, I'll soon catch up!

It could've been better. My car went in for it's MOT on the 1st of this month and it failed big time - four new coil springs, rear brake pipes and four new tyres needed! I wasn't going to spend that much on a motor only worth £1500 at best after the repairs.

You ever tried finding, funding, taxing and insuring a new motor with no internet, no phone and no mobile?

I got really lucky though after visiting my bro and using his internet I got this E280 CDi auto with all the trimmings on an '08 plate for £4000 - and they gave me £700 in part ex for my old motor!

When I say all the trimmings, just the centre console gives me Sat nav, CD changer with MP3, TV, DVD and Bluetooth. As I only want the first two on that list, I reckon it'll only take me six months or so to work out how to use them!

PS Good luck aside, I've missed you guys!

They also threw in a 12 months warranty and basic AA cover for 12 months so really pleased.

Although the retail cost of the repairs to my old Merc made it uneconomical for me, at trade prices it's worth repairing and someone's going to get a nice, cheap motor. I'm glad about that as it was far too good to be scrapped.

Thanks for the greetings guys. I was half expecting: 'As the Queen Mother was once heard to say: "Oh no! Not him again!"'

PS I told you it wouldn't take long for the drivel to start!

                            Tidy wheels Dave.
Nice to read you are back in action too....

Judging by the size of the motor, you should have plenty of room for loads of 'Big Boxes'...... If we ever get back to Cosford again!
