Realised the average age on this forum will show ailments that will happen as many of us sit quietly for hours building. A little sudden fresh air and exercise after a long pause could trigger anything so the frequent you do it the lesser the shock.
Good thing the blood clot was spotted. Stay safe and get mended Tim.

    Cheers,

Cheers Richard. Yep, sitting quietly without moving isn’t a good thing in anyone over about ten years old I think :tongue-out3: Trouble is…those kits don’t build themselves…..

Sorry to hear you're unwell Tim. It doesn't sound pleasant.

I'm glad you're being looked after though by the professionals and hopefully they'll have you fully mended soon.

          Tim,
hope you are feeling a bit better & now you've started the treatment process, then things can only get better..............
Unfortunately we only hear the bad stories about the NHS - I reckon the majority of people have good experiences, I know I have, but happy stories don't make good headlines!

All the very best to you Tim.
Strength isn't about what you can do, rather it's about overcoming what you thought you couldn't do.

Sorry to hear about your problem Tim.
Wishing you all the best with your treatment. Glad you aren't under GWH Swindon, the worst hospital in the country.

Wow Mr. Marlow, it appears your luck of late hasn't been too good. Great to hear you had good service and a quick diagnose of the situation. I hope the treatment rids you of the problem and life gets back to normal ASAP Tim, otherwise we'll have to take you out in the back 40 and put you to sleep......Or, maybe to vets...........

                  Gute Besserung

All My doctor ever says when I say I get short of breath and sometimes dizzy, is a rather rude "loose some weight and we can talk about it after"!

Tim. Sorry to hear about uour woes and wish you a speedy recovery. The NHS is a wonderful institution the only thing wrong with it are the people that run it.

Don’t knock YDH until you’ve tried some alternatives :tongue-out3: I’ve had several dealings with them since I moved down here and in all cases response times have been superior to Salisbury District Hospital (SDH), for example, which I was under for most of my life. SDH has a much nicer building though, all airy corridors and natural daylight…..YDH feels like an underground bunker . Certainly not design by anyone that understands the principles of infection control, too much HVAC and not enough fresh air……
Don’t go to Sherborne that often, but I’ll keep it in mind :thumb2: Herself gets down there twice a week for work so it’s a bit like taking coals to Newcastle…..
Are there any good shows or shops in that area? I know about most of the ones in North Somerset, and have yet to get down to the Sprue Shed in Ilminster, but haven’t looked around the South of the county much.
There nothing to do with model shops in the area other than Hobbycraft in Yeovile or Frank Herrings in Dorchester.
It's a pretty little town with a stunning Abbey... that's about it really?!
