    Too true John

Most fireworks are just explosives, no display just a bang, get them banded

The kittens were not happy even with the TV quite loud and Classic FM on in the hallway as background to try and balance some of the noise.
They alternate between looking out of the patio doors at the light show, then jumping all claws out onto to your lap for comfort!
its their first year, but the oldies aren't too happy as the house 3 doors down, not only having a bonfire burning building waste, the smell of burning plastic is quite strong, had some of 49 tube boxed bomb launchers.
3 minutes of very loud bang, bang, bang, bang.......................
Its not unexpected as they regularly use, test their range of industrial steam cleaners, usually all afternoon over the weekend.
Very loud and after a full none stop hour, very irritating, but they must have a really clean back yard!
Its a rented house and the occupants do change every year or so.
Otherwise Devali wasn't as bad, but still noisy and on school nights and after 9pm too.
We used to go to organised bonfire/firework shows years ago, but there aren't that many and they tend to be tied to events which make the cost high and if you aren't into speedway or monster trucks, a little uninviting!
Hopefully it will be quiet tonight, though I doubt it!
      Roll on Nov 7th LOL

I’ve got a cairn terrier, usually shaking like a leaf on bonfire night. But he’s 13 now and tone deaf have no problems anymore.

well I spent most of Saturday building the towns bonfire with a telly handler it all went well Charlie our collie dog was a bit spooked and spent the night under my desk Louie the cat was not disturbed at all seems nothing bothers him unless your sleeping in his bed!! or he wants feed (I want to be a cat) local kids didn't seem to bother letting many random ones off.
Why is common sense not so common?
