I note that each box says - in red - 'No Interior Parts, No Zimmerit' - the boxart clearly shows all 3 with Zimmerit.........................

Modelers are getting lazy...make your own zimmerit.

I like the look of those Panthers. But with the Meng kits i can get 3d zimmerit decals for them. So at the moment the Meng kit has the advantage

Haven't they,or someone else done these before?! ....
.... I seem to remember "Ghostbuilder" pointing out to someone,( who used them in a Dio), on a previous site, that the guy rolling the barrel was all wrong.... It'd be far too heavy for him to move using one hand at a time, whilst not "putting your back into it". ?!!

I think 'Ghostbuilder' is very wrong - on a level (ie tarmac) it is easy to do - I have rolled 45 gallon drums frequently with one hand once started. The problem, of course, is on broken ground.

The new one is another “special edition” kit, which probably means it includes resin heads or something. The art for the new one is exactly the same as the old, they just Photoshopped out the background, stuck some barrels there instead, and tinkered with the colours a bit.

Personally I still don’t think the lengths of wood would hold up the barrels. They would most likely snap in the middle as the barrels were moved up….

Sometimes I can't understand this stuff either. the Takom Panthers are a re-release from their Panther kits 2097,2098, and 2099, with interiors. This time without the interior. Das Werk have already released them a few years ago. I guess they're just trying to get the most out of their molds and people will think they are something new. Same with MiniArt kits. Throw a few extras in the box and they think people will go crazy for them. It must be hard times with sales........
