Another fish head variant as the first release. The Airfix office must have a Navy fetish.On the bench: Airfix 1/48 Sea King HC4, Revell 1/24 Trabant.

I'm excited about this and will order at least two. I can't wait for a Royal Air Force HAR3/3A version (there you go, got the RAF reference in the first sentence).
Pros;
Three different marks.
Four schemes.
Composite or metal rotor blades with fold option.
Five or six blade tail rotor with fold option.
FOD deflector or EAPS/SNIPS filter option.
Early or late radome.
Competitively priced compared to the Hasegawa kit.
Detailed fuselage surface.
Loads of opportunities for super detailing and after market goodies.
Opening cabin and personnel doors option.
Good level of cabin detail for an out of the box build.
Cons (I must stress these aren't deal breakers or a complaint, I recognise there are limitations to injection moulded kits but they are valid observations) ;
It's a navy cab.
No blade fold pipework.
No SACRU cargo hook.
It's still a Navy cab.On the bench: Airfix 1/48 Sea King HC4, Revell 1/24 Trabant.
Coming soon: Airfix 1/72 Phantom FGR2.

Sprue shots here -
Helicopter fans will be thrilled with Airfix's surprise release...a 1/48 new-tool Royal Navy Sea King HAS.1/HAS.5/HU.5.
Lots of troop seats (HC4) and cabin window apertures for HAR3 and HC4 variants. I see a FLIR/MSS turret and IR jammers too. There are lots more versions of this to come from Airfix.On the bench: Airfix 1/48 Sea King HC4, Revell 1/24 Trabant.

Point of order your honour!! 'fish head' is reference to the general service. You know - the floaty Navy not the FAA or as the 'fish heads' call us Wafu's!!!
Thank you - lesson ends!! :smiling2: :smiling2: :smiling2:Comment

1:10, even though planes in those days were really small that will still need a good amount of space, I would think. I also suspect you’ll get your €314,67’s worth of construction out of this, with all that rigging and stuff
