The original is apparently from 1956 or 57, revised in 1970. I’m guessing Bob’s is the 1970 edition?

I must say the prices I just saw kind of startled me — and that’s even though I ordered the new two-volume edition of Son of Sherman recently

                  Hi all

So we had a short family holiday to Amsterdam this week, getting back late last night, and whilst we were there I managed to pick up a model, although not the usual type.

Junior** and I have actually started it and hope to have it finished by the end of the weekend.

                  Andrew

** For newer members, I refer to my son as Junior in the interests of online safety. Hope you understand.

Interesting, I didn’t know there was such a thing.

Also, did you know you can take a look around it in your web browser?

                      Hi Jakko

I thought it was pretty cool when I saw it. I almost walked out without buying but turned around and thought why not, it really is something very different.

According to the box it scales out to around 1/60 give or take, although there obviously have to be some compromises - the stairs are the most obvious. As I type this we're halfway through it already....very good instructions, a great fit and very easy to put together....a lot of model manufacturers could learn from it!! I'll put a thread together later.

We were fortunate enough to have tickets for the real house but unfortunately photography was not allowed, so the 3D tour is very helpful. Thanks for sharing it, it will come useful for my thread!

                      ATB.

This - a replacement clear sprue for my Airfix Phantom, the original canopy was cracked.
Sent free of charge, quibble free, good customer service I think.
