With my wife hosting her birthday party in our garden with a bunch of her Rock Choir mates it seemed like a perfect opportunity to let my lad drag me around Sheffield's modelling/wargaming shops, most of which I've never been in.

Combined haul below. His stuff on the left, Still Water for us both to try, and a random selection for me.

I fancy doing an abandoned tank and I found the T62 cheap enough so don't mind wrecking it. It's from a great little shop in the city centre but if I ever go again I'll take an oxygen mask as I don't think I've ever climbed so many stairs. :smiling5:

Ok, so although studying hindered how much time I spent cutting and gluing plastic recently, it has not stopped me acquiring another large(r) scale aircraft - see what you have done AlanG?

In this case you may have seen that Warren (Komedy ), had a bit of stash clear out (HERE). In the end I succumbed, in no small part to his very generous pricing and bought the below Zero. Off the back of that he then offered me the below Eduard Brassin Cockpit set for an exceptional price - I actually went back to make sure he was sure, it was that low!!

So these arrived yesterday in what has to be one of the best packed kits I have ever seen and by my calculation for less than half the price new - including delivery!

                  Warren - thank you again!

                  ATB.

                  Andrew

Good old Tamiya T.62.I made one back in 80s in my teens.Tried to make it as an abandoned Syrian army one during the Yom Kippur war. Some of these Tamiya oldies go for good prices.
                    Enjoy.

That book must be quite a catch , what year did it first appear ?
Hi John, sorry late reply l. 1956, as Jakko says mines 1970. It's superb too be fair. I am a fan of Drach on YT and I now know where he gets his diagrams for his programmes from!

Too bargains, the first book has 21 battleships from 21 countries. I expected Bismarck ( Germany) but Scharnhorst and Japan ( Yamato ) but Nagato ) bargain price

Nothing to do with me. Still small scale Besides. I wouldn't push you towards those aircraft. Not my area of interest
