Wait till you see Hood or Scharnhorst in 1/200, might have to hang the stern out of the window

Not heard of one, wish they did, a superb tough warrior? I have the 1/350 Trumpeter kit, but it's WW11 version

It'll be the carpet next Bob !
I blame Chris for all this floaty stuff on here , at one time it was a rarity, now there's several builds going on . Even Andy is having thoughts .
In a moment of weakness I even looked at Russian WW1 ! But a strong slap around the head brought me to my senses.

Nice kit Karl. When you come to build it give me a shout and i'll let you know some tips to stop you having fit problems with it. This is the scheme that i am going to be building but in 1:32

This afternoon, I went to the largest model show in the Netherlands, and though it was a bit disappointing in terms of traders present (it’s more a show than a trade convention anyway), I did decide to buy this:

An Asuka Sherman III (“limited edition”, meaning it has a set of resin stowage included), and also some Tamiya tape for curves for the upcoming film/TV group build, as well as some sculpting tools/picks to add to my existing collection of those (Hey, they were a euro each, why not?)

Bit of a compromise, but finally have some display space inside the house, used to be a slim bookcase here full of DVDs, they all fit in the bottom.
Just need to pick up a glass shelf to divide the top space, which I forgot to do when swapping over the damaged door earlier today.

The funny thing is, 15–20 years ago, I didn’t particularly. Reading (a lot) more about them has changed my mind, largely because of the very large variety you can make of what is still essentially the same tank. Which is why I got this particular one: an M4A2 with an early hull (with or without the direct vision flaps for the drivers) is still missing in my collection

I get where you are coming from Jakko......the variations seem endless. I had a friend that was trying to recreate most versions in HO scale Resin kits......I think he burned himself out and gave up a few years back Hasn't been seen in the retail market for some time now. Have you read Steve Zaloga's book "Armored Thunderbolt"? If not, I consider it a must read for Sherman Fanatics Fans. :thumb2:

Heh … good luck with that, even given that some detail differences can’t be seen in 1:87 but can in larger scales, he would end up with a very big collection.

Yes, and IMHO one of the three essential books for the proper Shermanophile Hunnicutt’s Sherman is the second, and Son of Sherman by Stansell and Laughlin the third.

Is it airbrush cleaner or is it a giant bottle of extra thin? From what I've read, it's both! And around half the price of TET
