Postie dropped off a package with some goodies yesterday. I know what you're all thinking, but the no kit rule is still in effect...Even if I do have 4 more kits selling on evilbay this week...
The CSM figs were on clearance @40% off and the Evergreen stuff is for the "Wild Hair Up My Butt" project later on this year......
Prost

Don’t worry, I’ve not turned into a ship modellerI do, however, own some kits of LCA landing craft, and looking for good information on how to paint them, I found these books second-hand. Probably only the small one is sufficient, really, but I decided to buy the others too purely out of interest. The two issues of FSM (December 1997 and February 1998) were thrown in for free, I discovered when I opened the package.

Well … I can tell immediately from the picture on the cover of Part Two that it wasn’t a Verlinden original … [ISPOILER]The equipment on the turret has straps that go over stuff instead of the items just hanging somewhere with nothing to attach to, defying gravity [/ISPOILER]
Though it’s something I’ve been thinking of doing myself too: a Verlinden-style diorama, but with modern kits. If only I had the room to put one.Comment

I’ve just read the small book, and I must admit the camouflage patterns are interestingChances are I will actually have some use for it, as some indefinite point in the future will probably see me build some ships used in my area in 1944, landing craft as well as Warspite, Roberts and/or Erebus … Also still holding out hopes of sometime building a fully-loaded LCT(4) in either 1:76 or 1:35
