In my opinion the "Human" race is a horribly failed experiment, those who created and built our most fabulous technologies
and cultures, nations and societies have surrendered all it seems to those who do not make but take.
We have betrayed ourselves through cowardess and greed into a world were the so called powers that be have us
corralled into our convenient "identity group" cubicals, to be called upon at their pleasure to hate, kill and destroy any other group
that has earned their displeasure at any point in time.

Purposeful energy and food shortages are used to control and finally to reduce the unwashed masses.
Undeveloped countries who are yearning for modern conveniences and proper agricultural practices and fertilizers have basically
been relegated to the scrap bin of future history, especially in continental Africa, because of "Greeny" insanity. NO OIL FOR YOU!
Cold are ya?....need to cook your substandard "food"?.....burn dung!
Just this insane and ludicrous war in the Ukraine has crippled wheat and other grain production in the region with devastating
effects to be felt world wide, Especially in Western Europe....In Africa millions will starve out right.
This all because of the maniacal aspirations of one evil prick.

But then what else is new? just name any war and one can easily see that every one of them was unnecessary.
All have been caused by one brainwashed group who thought it perfectly fine to break someone elses stuff and kill
    their people.

We are a pathetic and hopeless cause that will never even come close to the fantastic advances and peace of existence
enjoyed by those entities that flit about our skies and righteously mock our very existence.

Other than that, don't worry, be happy :upside:

As Eric Idle said “We’d better hope that there’s intelligent life somewhere out in space, because there’s bugger all down here on earth”….

I remember watching the first series of Star Trek. I gave up about half way through 'cos there was nothing new - it was all re-hashed stories from the Sci Fi of the 1930s and 40s. So there's nothing new in even the idea of risk adversity.

....I love it when greater mortals, with a better command than me of the English language, use big words, clever phrases and talk dirty too!

Probably. Of course, the entertainment industry’s mantras have always been “more of the same” and “dumb it down” (the latter of which I was just reminded of when the radio played that one hit by 4 Non Blondes), but I do have the impression that these days they’re doing recursion on the former at least. And at some point, even the target audience who still likes it, is likely to say that enough is enough, give us something better already. I hope

I did say that Wednesday morning Dave, but it was just after six so you were probably still asleep I might have nicked it from the radio series to be honest……it was always best on the radio.

To be fair ST did have the first televised interracial kiss and Russian and American crew members working together for the greater good…..not usual for mid sixties TV………storylines were lifted from all over though.
Mind you, all creative writing does that as a matter of course…..Agatha Christie broadly lifted from Conan Doyle, and he broadly lifted from Dostoyevski…….nothing new under the sun :tongue-out3:

Hi mate. I never took offence so don’t sweat it…..
I hope something different comes along soon as well. The DC film franchises have buried more Batmen than Michael Caine……

If you want more of this watch Aliens on Blaze TV. It's on every day, bit the same , but when they show stone shapes from all over the world in the form of large head's it does make you think how come those people had the same idea when they'd couldn't have met. That and those straight lines which appear to run for miles.

If you ever get to Oxford John, go to the Pit Rivers museum. They have a room with a large number of pre industrial artefacts from all over the world. The clever bit is that they are displayed not according to region, but according to type of artefact. It is amazing how similar these artifices are, despite originating from people’s and regions that could not possible have met to exchange ideas.

Personally I think it illustrates that whoever we are and wherever we come from we are all essentially the same. It also shows that true original thought is a rare thing and should be nurtured and celebrated wherever it occurs.

PS, I thought the straight lines had been shown to be due to animal migration years ago……..

                            Indeed it should Tim.

The near straight lines in some areas are now thought to be corals , more funnels than straight.
Its still strange how our ancestors with out any scientific equipment managed to mark out lines that were straight no doubt done with the sun or stars.

                            This sort of thing Tim.

There are way too many of these pics to list.
How were these "impossible" feats of stone softening, cutting, lifting, transporting, for many megalithic sites are far
from their quarries, and finally lifted and perfectly placed? Some to over 400ft in height as in the Great Pyramid in Egypt.
It is obvious to anyone with even only several brain cells operating that these feats were not done by primitive man or any man.
Who, what, when, were and how? Only the what and were can be answered, the who, when and how will never be answered.

This bothers me to no end, I am a logical man and all these things defy logic and certainly make the powers that be in all these historical societies look like fools when they push these ridiculous theories that primitive men with stone hammers and copper chisels
created these marvels......what are they trying to hide?
