    The diary of Merer is worth a look, by the way Jim. It’s an EgyptIan Diary written about 4500 years ago by an Egyptian official (Merer) and describes the transport of stone for cladding the great pyramid…..it states around two hundred blocks a month weighing around three tons each were moved by approximately forty boatmen.

                  Brilliant thread.

                  Folks trying to out do each other as to who knows the most about God knows what, and the use of the King's English knows no bounds......

                  As soon as the camper is packed, I'm glad I'm going AWOL for a week or so......
