Hi All, I'm very pleased to tell you that the surgery is now complete and I am back home.
Thursday 20th I went into hospital in the morning and the surgery was completed in about 4 hrs, and according to the surgical team it all went according to plan.
After 2 days in ICU, I went into a general ward, and was eventually released yesterday (Wednesday my time).
I will not say it has been a pleasant experience, but I'm still alive, so that is good.
I am however now the proud owner of a 12 inch scar in my belly, and a couple of new tubes inside.
I'm taking it easy and taking all the meds, so now it is just time.
Thank you for all your support and good wishes, they obviously all helped, and were much appreciated.
