Great news, pleased it went smoothly Garry.
Fingers crossed your recovery will be swift and you’ll soon be raring to get back to the bench :smiling4:

Thursday 20th I went into hospital in the morning and the surgery was completed in about 4 hrs, and according to the surgical team it all went according to plan.
After 2 days in ICU, I went into a general ward, and was eventually released yesterday (Wednesday my time).
I will not say it has been a pleasant experience, but I'm still alive, so that is good.
I am however now the proud owner of a 12 inch scar in my belly, and a couple of new tubes inside.
I'm taking it easy and taking all the meds, so now it is just time.
Thank you for all your support and good wishes, they obviously all helped, and were much appreciated.

Rather than a lengthy post, may I just say a heartfelt thanks to all you wonderful friends for your support, encouragement and good wishes.

As a slight aside, I had been holding off on this, due to the uncertainty of the operation outcomes.
Now that it appears that all is good health wise, I am going to have a long awaited studio built for my hobbies.
All has been approved and sanctioned by SWMBO, and construction should start in a couple of weeks.
I met with my builder today to discuss.
To say that I am excited would be a huge understatement.

Thanks Bob, yes the authorities have given approval, but I will have to stop her having too much input into the design

Thanks Paul, I reckon the den will keep me busy for a while helping with my recuperation.

At this stage Chris it is just going to be the 1:1 studio. Who knows after that, the world is my oyster as they say. I've been dabbling in oil painting as well.

Hi Garry, glad to hear your plumbing has been fixed and getting a new cave, meanwhile SWMBO is doing the hunting while you stoke the fire...just keep the club(rolling pin) hidden and rest easy. :tears-of-joy:

                                Cheers,
