    Led Lamp

Can anyone reccomend an LED lamp? I've seen tons online at quite different prices for the same lux values, I dont want to go cheapo and regret it nor do I want to remortgage my home, reccomendations from modellers is the best route IMO.

    TIA

The only advice I will offer is to try for a daylight lamp, something around 5500 Kelvin, that way you will have a better reflection of true colours.
Strength isn't about what you can do, rather it's about overcoming what you thought you couldn't do.

        I’ve got something like this….

I say something like it because I’ve had mine a good few years and the exact model is no longer available. Should be good enough for general modelling.

Good choice. Good lighting and some magnification (especially for us older modellers) can make a huge difference.

If you want a backup lamp, for extra light from the side or whatever, I can recommend the Tertial anglepoise lamp from Ikea. Fitted with a good daylight led bulb you have a cracking light for under 20 quid.

It won't have the spread of the one above but I find them great when you need a bit more light from a different angle.
