Well at least we know you cannot put your foot down, and who is the boss.... Hope it gets better soon...

Snap anyway, I've been laid up in bed for the past week and a half because I can hardly walk either - I suffer from the occasional bouts of Metatarsalgia foot pain and am currently in the middle of a bad one now. Basically your foot swells up painfully, usually with a joint pain like someone had put a nail through your foot, and is total agony - even at rest. The only thing you can really do to help it is the old RICE treatment for sprains. I couldn't even put shoes on - one of my feet is half again the size of the other.

Apparently it's caused by extreme pressure to the front of the foot (this latest attack was caused I think by me stubbing my toe badly and then doing two 6-hour plus drives to work and back last week) - walking on hard-floors barefoot being a real no-no.

As Tim said, wearing supportive footware indoors helps. I used to get two or three attacks a year. This is the first attack I've had in nearly two years and it's all because I started wearing cork-sandals (Birkensocks style) indoors instead of going barefoot - get yourself some. They look naff, but it's better than foot pain.

        Cheers!
That's no excuse not to be modelling, get one of those little breakfast tables, tea on call, pillow fluffed at request, sweeties and grapes next to you, and devoted wife reading out the instructions for you - well at least we can dream....
Hope you get back to normal soon....

Yeah, that's not going to happen lol! I do have one of those tables, but alas one of the disadvantages of being self-employed and working from home is that all I'm actually doing is working (and posting on here).

Quick update. Heel is still sore, SWMBO says I'm walking better though. Took Tims advice, Crocs for bumbling around, bless her, she bought me a pair of sensible slippers with a back so they fit far better. They certainly feel better although the pain is still there.
Unfortunately, my jobs didn't stop because of my heel issue. Garage has been painted in and out. House has had a make over, three sides are painted so they had a good coat of Deluxe Weathershield. New shelving for the garage have been assembled, boards have had a couple of coats of varnish. Finally today, I actually started re-packing the garage. It's been a few very long days and thankfully the weather gods have been in my favour!!
Hopefully, fingers crossed the Wasp with be started as soon as I can rearrange the bench. Phew!! All I want to do is put my feet up and have a good catch up on here. I see so much going on but little time to respond other than a few likes and the odd comment before the whip is cracked!!
