Do you live in the countryside, farmland to the garden? Its that time of year where the fields see a lot of heavy machines. That often sends the little beggars off house hunting. The other theory is that your anti mole thing has seen the first mole off so a new one has moved in. As I wrote at the start of the invasion, mole are territorial. So normally only one or two depending how big your garden.
We live right next to a farmers field and each harvest time the little buggers come into the garden. one or two stay, the rest go back once the noise (vibrations) in the fiels have stopped.
Accept that they are there to eat your slugs. Sweep the spoil into the grass or as Tim (?) said it makes very good potting soil.Comment

I agree with the boys comments Chris. Dont get too excited too soon. Moles are most active in late Winter and early spring. I run a flying club and we have been battling moles on our field for years. We definately notice a massive increase in activity during winter and spring which then dies off through summer. As Arnold Swarzenegger says "They'll be back". One consolation, the soil from a mole hill is great for gardening.SteveComment
