Hallo scale modellers,
I have just bought a few weeks ago, a radio controlled model tank ( made in China ) a M1 Abrahm tank 1:12 scale.
It suppose to drive good and fire a bb gun to 25 metres.
Well nothing as such, it crawls along and it fires about 2 metres if you luckey.
it arrived in a pretty bad state, it looked if it has been in in a tumble drier, and nobody wants to take responsibilty for it but it could be a good conversion project!
How could I get it to a reasonable speed, would it better to put new motors in (two motors are fitted) maybe with a higher voltage ( 9.6 Volt at present )
The gearbox seeems to be a sealed unit and gives me not a great clue.
And how can I alter the gun so it fires something like 20 meter distance ?
Over all it is a good detailed model and it got potential but the performance is very diserable if not even none exsisting.
Has anybody some good tips to make this beast a proper tank ?
Many thanks
Lutz
