Ive not heard of anything like that Ron regarding the site, i do however understand that it is a route into your machine and i would say use with caution. I have seen a few guy on here use it and it really get to me. I dont want to be trawling through rubbish to see someones work, i would rather just click on the image on here, it is far easier and saves me leaving the site. Please do not take this as a critism guys, its just my own selfish preference. I think others might think the same and i must admit that i have got so fed up with it, if someone puts their pics on there and adds the link to the thread i just dont bother looking, sorry. The guys have provided the facility to upload our pics and i think we should use it. If you still want to use the other site then please do so, but lets try and use this site to its potential and what it was created for.

End of lecture, sorry to babble on Ron and sorry to anyone who may be offended by my statement but no offence was intended. i just wanted to bring to light the issue.

On the subject of downloading pictures, has anyone here used photobucket?I would like to but I've heard various reports good and bad.

It is my understanding that once you sign up you are bombarded by e.mails from P/Bs sponsors and people can do what they like with your photos. Is this correct?

I know this is off topic BUT it's my thread...na, na.!!

I use photobucket Ron, never had a e-mail mate. Not one problem too.

You are quite right Andy, but I have no intention of using photobucket for this site. It was really just a general question about other people's experience of P.B. so I can make an informed choice as to it's suitability for my needs.Cheers,

A photo of where I work. You wouldn't believe it, but after my last model, I tidied up, all you can see now is a cutting mat on the end of the computer desk ! talk about timing..........

Hi Gern,I had trouble with this some time ago but once you have done it it is really easy. When you click reply, if you scroll down you will see Manage Attachments in a white oblong box. Click on that mate and it takes you to the upload screen. Click on the first Browse box and search your PC for the folder that has the picture, click on the file and it will attach, do the same with the next Browse box and so on. When you have all the pictures you need just click the Upload box and then you are done. Just dont be in to much of a rush, some file take a while and if you have attached a few, could take a couple of minutes. You will know when your files have been uploaded as the Browse boxes will clear and then you can close the window and submit your reply.

Thanks for that Andy. I may even pluck up the courage to show a few of my builds now I know how it's done. Of course, mine will look like toys compared to what some of you guys are doing, but at least I know I'll get friendly advice for improvements here!

I notice a lot of nice tidy work areas in this thread. Is it just me or does everyone build their models whilst managing complete chaos at the work bench? I took this snap of my Spitfire construction site.It isn't posed in anyway,I just stepped back,moved a chair and took the photo. Luckily my spray area is elsewhere or it would be worse!
