Your figures look great Richy, really well done. I especially like the uniform colours where they're nicely faded & the helmet camo stuff. I'm looking forward to seeing the whole thing, i reckon you could be on your way to a 5-star dio here! Patrick

Thanks for the nice comments Gents , hi Graham its going to take many years before I can advise anyone on painting , at the moment its all trial and error - learning as I go , its a massive help belonging to this forum knowing there is advice and encouragement on tap.

This is how its sort of going to look - the main bulk is done , the tricky details start now which I hope will bring it to life.

That looks really good Richy. I like the composition, the placing of the figures. It looks really well balanced and the the two scenarios going on at the same time really add life to it. This is really going to be something. I have to admit now to being bitten. I have an idea for a mini diorama using the Tamiya 1/35 BMW motorcycle and sidecar which I have just ordered online. Every time I step out the door I hear Ron's words in my head and look for materials on the floor.. Should be not much bigger than 6" square but I am really looking forward to starting it.

It may be trial and error Richy but those figures look really good in their setting.

I can't make any "professional" comment on your diorama, never having made one,but its looking really good. Incidentally you haven't nicked the table out of my front room have you? yourst looks remarkably similar to mine!

            Cheers

Go for it Graham , with so many aspects making a dio it gives great satisfaction to see it coming together , I`ve already been in the garden this morning getting a few ideas for trees , when you start your dio keep us posted , its nice to see a build go from scratch to the finnished item.

This is looking rather special Richie. What I like about this is the fact that when it is finished it will tell it's own story. No explaination needed!

Just one thing....We all want to see the completed project and no doubt you are looking forward to seeing the finished dio. yourself, but don't fall into the trap of rushing the last stages....Take your time, we a'int going anywhere!!

Evening Ron , I`m not going to rush anything mate , I really apprecite your advice and after seeing some of your work I know the standard set , If I can anywhere near your class of dio`s I will be a happy man , I agree it sort of tells it own story - it could be a few days after D-Day with British infantry mopping up while the Paras look to press on or it could be the same scenario anywhere in northern europe near the end of WW2 , Unfortunatley my ideas well out do my modelling skills , I must say again I loved your Bail out dio and also another dio I saw on here - Xmas time with Winter German troops around an oil drum keeping warm With a snowman in the background - Quality , I wish one that could be posted again.

                    Richy.
