John, tell him to slope the Scale-Models in line with the .co.uk,a bit of chrome embellishment and it will look much better.

Printers do not normally mix slopes with straights, just my thoughts on this I know that you want to get it right.

Getting very close, agree about italics on the .co.uk., keep all lettering vertical and same size. The tan background to the title obscures the ship, slightly bolder and 3D true chrome (with less yellow) would apparently sit on top of the illustrations. Other variation of metal lettering could be polished brass. This would eliminate need for coloured (tan) panel. Would have prefered steam loco but the Deltic will do. Hope this isnt costing a load of cash !!!

I was an Air Ministry illustrator for 12 years, on loan to 1631st A.B.Sqdn USAF based at Green Site(now HMS Gannet) on the military side of Prestwick International , the same side as S.A.L. Later went to USA, lived in New Hampshire and Maine for 4 years designing and screen-printing T-shirts. Never got west of Indiana but "did" whole eastern side from Florida to Nova Scotia in Canada. Not coals to Newcastle as most designs were Scottish heritage stuff , Clan badges and so on except for the aviation, car racing and skiing ones. Well three out of four aint that bad. No business sense or Green Card so back to reality. It was fun though.

You really have worn the T-Shirt,there is a lot of luck involved no doubt.

Not only worn it but printed it! The main difference I noticed was the lack of a "class" system based on being born into the aristocracy or landed gentry. Sure they have a class system but it is based on merit, earned or bought but not parentage. Didnt get to Oshkosh damn, passed within 30 or 40 miles of it but we were in rush to get back for a deadline in the east coast.

As un-elected chairman, person sorry, of Nit-Pickers Unlimited , I hesitate to point out that the metal-ish lettering is upside-down, the sky should be at top. No need to have it slanted, the convention is to use slanted lettering to "indicate speed"(new use) or as italics to emphasis part of a phrase(original use). The tan bar is not needed if better True Chrome or Polished Brass lettering was used, plus it obscures most of the ship. It also ends at the car when logically it should continue to right-hand margin. Pity the tip of the Spitfire`s fin has gone ,very distinctive feature on that aircraft. I`ve found a good tutorial on Reflective Chrome and various other textures on http://www.thewebmachine.com/index.h...shop_menu.html I expect the cheque will be in the post ??????

Much better,it was the Spitfire tail-fin tip that was missing ,still is, but I like the wing-tip over the tan bar. If you insist on keeping the tan bar, should it not continue beyond the car ? Have you tried the link with Photoshop tutorial. I think Reflective Chrome or maybe the Brass on a slightly thicker font. The one you`ve shown is good choice , try it on "medium" instead of "thin" or "fine". All this from someone who can barely send an email ! Local Learning Centre is offering courses ...haud me back !
