I airbrush standing up could not see how you can sit but suppose you can. Just that I move about to get good angles.

But I also stand to do most model making. I have a stand on my original work bench to give height. The chair I use is an old clerks (Dickension) high chair so that I can sit for detailed work, such as canopy masking etc.

Find it much easier standing as work is, for an OAP, less neck bending & also easier to work. Maybe as in earlier years before Computer Assisted Drawing I spent 50% of my working years standing at a drawing board & habits formed.

There is a pay back for lack of an aching neck aching legs.

Does any one else stand while working ?

Laurie I do a bit of both. The more detailed work I tend to do sitting down.

Reading this thread I realise just how very, very lucky I am!

Here are two shots of my 'workstation' up in the roof space......One end for modelling, and the other for shelves, listening to loud music, getting on the PS3, 'tinternet and most important, a diddy fridge with a few cans inside!

A total and utter tip and it's all MINE!

I do allow one visitor. My best mate, our Mastif doggy.

        Cheers,

        Ron

It just goes to show the variation in the spaces that we can manage in!

I'd like to point out that now I've got a project on the go my area is not quite as pristine as it was. I literally stood up,to make a cuppa, and took this piccy, absolutely not posed.

            Cheers

Well guys, here is how mine is looking of late! Managed a little time today since the new arrival and have made a start in blowing the dust off things.

DavidCee & Mobear. You are both certifiable mad as hatters. I fell about laughing Mobear at seeing your workstation again. Is it really like that or are you having us all on. Which ever I keep giggling it is so funny. If it is real hope you do not mind.

How do you manage to work like that ? Think I will print that picture & stick it above my work station. In times of disaster, model making that is, I will return to this picture & purge my brain of all rude thoughts by giggling.

                    So funny.

This is a great article Vaughan you have provided us with lots of fun & interest. Keep them coming. Considering the numbers in this forum we have seen a minority so far.

Laurie glad that this has interested so many people I never thought it would take off so well. I've got a few more ideas that I might post about.

Ole I don't know how you can manage like that!

Here's mine about 5 mins ago. For me this is quite messy! I'll put everything away when I finish the current model and start again with the next one.

That's enough of mine, there's a few who are being backward at coming forward. Come on chaps, show us the carnage.

                          Cheers

Ole you have surpassed yourself ! This deserves a Vaughan award for something ?

Looks nice & cosy Lindsey. I have a weights thing like that just behind me & medicine ball. Thank goodness it is my young sons.
