I hear tell you have to be a member of the some national model making set up before you can enter summat for the comps. at Telford. Where as Cosford is a free for all bun fight....
If so, this rules out a fair few punters, I suppose?
Hi folks , sorry this has been a bit late coming , ive been a bit busy. The Newark Expo model show on sunday oct 13th was a great day out. Loads of traders , club displays and a competition plus a brilliant venue with excellent facilities. Several forum members made it this year , myself , Ian (papa 695) , Ben (yambam 26) plus bens ever supportive girlfriend Katie!, Malc (rememal) , Paul (Beowulf) and Dave W. Special mention goes to Dave , who travelled all the way from Essex , a near 3 hour juorney!! The competition was a successful area for Scale-models forum members , with congrats going to Ian (first place with his honda ) , paul 2x seconds with his bike and tank) and myself (second with the tiger meet puma)It was great to meet up with some old faces and a couple of new ones . Here are some pics , cheers tony
I really enjoyed the day and it was great to meet some of the forum members. My wife gave me a hard time for buying a couple of kits though!.Looking forward to Telford now.Wasnt going to go but the wife reckons I should. If (when!) I get any kits I will have to sneak them into the house!.
Great pictures Tony and well done to all the placings!
I was seriously looking at the cost of getting over to see it, but pushing £200 for airtickets, then getting there and a place to stay, made it a bit of an expensive weekend.
I will have to make do with the photos from you chaps!
Also the weekend before is the Danish championships and I'll make do with that... I'll take a few photos as well.
