Puma road dust

Im justing MIG pigment. If my puma is in normandy Dry do i wash the the lower hull with "light dust" ?

hi alexander, light dust sounds ok to me but are you planning to make a wash with the pigments or just dust them on dry, i would do the dry method myself . cheers tony

Or even a bit of both, do a wash first which will pick out the edges and 'shadow' areas. then do a gentle dry dust to even it out and leave it light dusty in the centre of the panels.

The great thing with Mig Pigments is that if you try it using dry or wet with water, if it goes wrong, just wash it off with a wet brush soaked in water. I am new to pigments myself and marvel at what can be done with it. Like everything else in modelling, it is trial and error experimentation and going with your gut feeling sometimes.

Will it work if i put it on dry then matt varnish it. Will it stay?

I think I'll use graham idea aswell.

If you varnish it alexander it would probably wash it off and darken it too,so i would just leave it dry and dusty ,cheers tony

Dust whatever parts you want dusty. Look at real life things be it cars, vans whatever. you will see that dust on vehicles varies so there is no set answer, just dust it until you are happy with the results.
