    Whooopee!!

They have finally arrived, a Hasegawa 1/48 VF-1S/A Strike / Super Valkyrie (Macross/Robotech), I waited ages for this and photo-etched bits for it and it's sister 1/48 VF-J/A Valkyrie!

Additionally, I managed to lay my mits on an Eduard 1/48 Airco DH-2!!

The Super Valkyrie turned out to be a bit bigger than expected, but hey, all the more fun!!

There was a great Japanese anime series called "Robotech" or also known as the "Macross" series back in the mid - late 80's, this in turn spawned "Battle Tech", a RPG board game and later an animated series in 90's & "Mech Warrior" a PC based combat simulator. Heroclix still do a table top version.

Ever since seeing the "Robotech", I've had a love for that sci-fi genre and mecha. :P

This is probably what inspired "Transformers" or maybe the other way around, I'm not too sure.

I'd recently purchased the 6 DVD set of the original "Robotech" series, still great viewing!! It's almost like "Thunderbirds", you just can't get enough of it - it still captivates my imagination.

If they ever release kits of the "ABC Warriors" from 2000AD (Judge Dredd), I'd make it my mission to do them justice!!

Check out the "Robotech" web site: http://www.robotech.com/

One of the great things about starting a new hobby again is all the little "what nots" you need to buy. Being a live in carer and effectively having two addresses I need to address the issue of storting my things and also being able to transport things from work to home and back again. The alternative is to buy everything twice, which I dont have the money for.

Anyway, picked up this nice tool box from the Original Factory Shop for £10. Fits my needs perfectly. Enables me to store all my little bits, and is sturdy enough to be strapped to a motorbike when I go home/go to work. I plan on getting a few little storage boxes, probably next week too for my "works in progress".

(Forgot to add, contents were not included )

                            O, happy days

For some reason as I begin to like the Postman more and more, he begins to dislike me more and more.

This came today and the cardboard box that it came in I shall rate as "Most useful"

Fleabay £19.99 plus £5.75 Postage = £25.74. Didnt want to spend that much buy hey, its US Navy.
