Bought this 1/48 Revell B24 Liberator whilst out shopping with the wife this evening. We were going to Bluewater, but i talked her into going to Lakeside instead as there is a large Modelzone shop there (the one at Bluewater is only small).I made the Monogram B24J many years ago,but i've always wanted one of the earlier glazed nose versions.I think this is ex Monogram and paid £39.99 for it.Good price i think. It has a lot of raised lines which i won't be able to resist rescribing.Should be quite a project. It comes with a tractor and ground crew as well.

The guys from royal mail had this waiting for me when I got home from work today to finnish my sherman fix the 1/35 Tasca British Firefly VC , with my birthday and monthly budget gone I persuaded the wife that paint is just like washing powder and toiletries etc not something you buy every week but things you really need if you know what I mean guys ( and it worked ) , 6 months ago I could and would just get anything I needed , now I`m working to a very strict (small) monthly budget , happy days now of to the scalemodle shop to get some vallejo paint.

I may not post a lot here, but wanted to share my latest acquisitions anyway.

There was a model kit competition in my town today. There was a model kit shop there. I buy from it a lot online.

              Sure enough...

Three Revell WWI planes. Three fairly quick builds I think.

Being the BMW fan I am, I went crazy over this. The first car BMW ever made and I had no idea Revell even made this, so I bought it in a heart beat.

And I saved the best for last!

Expensive Tamiya = awesome build and me having a think about my financial state.

I got an obscure plane today!

My first resin kit. It's a kit of a plane made by a Slovenian. Being Slovenian myself I had to get it.

Went to the show at Coventry today and picked up some good stuff including Tamiya's Krupp Protze and Steyr 1500A/01, Trumpeter's M1A1 with mine rollers and their Chinese Jeep and Italeri's Crusader - all in 1/35. I also got Trumpeter's SM 79 and the Tamiya Dambusters Lanc both in 1/48 .

Star buy though, has got to be an untouched Trumpeter 1/35 BR 52 loco plus two lots of Eduard PE - £70 all in!

All in all a very successful day I thought!

Got this superb kit while i was in Hannants shop yesterday. It even has a metal insert the cockpit fits into. This then goes into the fuselage to weight the nose and stop it sitting on its tail.Brilliant idea.
