for some time,I have been thing of getting a bigger AB,just for doing bigger area,s of work and for priming,
so I pickup this cheap ,single action one,with about .5 or so,maybe bigger AB,for that reason,a whole,$22.oo
so I can run cheap watered down, acrylic paint,
as I,m finding that the vallejo paint needs to be thinned, and makes my pore little compressor, work hard,
using it,where this one, having a bigger nozzle, dose ,it in less than half the time,
as I did not always wont to use the big bottle,I glued in the middle of the lid,a cap of a 17ml vallejo, bottle so,
I can change between the two,
plus also need to get a fitting which only cost,$1.87 so all cheap and good,

Nice score Tony, if it wasn't for my latest purchase that's emptied my wallet I'd be getting one of them

Here's my new compressor, the Clarke Air Ultra Quiet SHHH 30/9.

It uses a fridge-type compressor so it's very quiet in operation & has a 9 litre air tank. It's very well built with no leaks. The only thing to watch out for is the 1/4 output. Luckily I had a 1/4 to 1/8 adapter, so I can screw my airbrush hose straight on.

At £260 it's not cheap, but my previous homemade silent compressor setup was too prone to leaks, so I decided to go for a ready-made solution. If you've got the money & worry about the neighbours being bothered by your regular compressor, I'd heartily recommend this one.

I'm well pleased with it Moni. With the 9 litre tank & being able to run it up to 115 PSI, even at my usual 35 PSI spraying pressure I'll be able to paint for ages

My latest editions to the stash as it was my birthday on the 15th I treated myself to these
I know the Aston is not a good model just a large dinky toy but with some scratch building it can become one apart from the hideous wheels anybody know where I can get instructions on how to make new ones from scratch I have a rough idea but that's all at the moment
Ayrton Senna's Mclaren MP 4 is supposed to be a very good model so will look forward to that the other one the X15 A-2 is a rerelease from Special Hobby in 1/32 this time complete with external tanks and the ground dolly I have a matching 1/33 B52 to build with this unfortuately it has a 5ft wing span whoops

Regards

Colin

Cheers patrick, i wasnt intending to get one , i just went in to see if they had any interesting military books - theyve had some good ones in the past - and saw this I wanted this when i was a kid ( wow is the tooling THAT old !!!) so had to get it at the bargain price. Its still a very well detailed kit with lovely fabric effects and surface detail and rarely seen for less than forty quid. Best bit is the squaw bought it for me , usually she says things like , "you dont need any more , you havent built all the others yet!" Must be all this christmas rubbish thats sent her a bit soft!!

I built this for the large aircraft GB last year, it turned out quite well but there are lots of mould seams.
On the bench: Airfix 1/48 Sea King HC4, Revell 1/24 Trabant.
Coming soon: Airfix 1/72 Phantom FGR2.
Just finished: Airfix 1/48 Stuka & Airfix 1/72 Sea King HC4.

Yes i remember yours rick, and looking at this one yesterday i did notice quite a few mould seams to clean up but its still amazingly well detailed and in great shape for a tooling that's now 43 years old!!

Just won this in a raffle at my local model club, along with some photo etch and a resin cockpit set for the Revell kit.
