Very nice Alan loving the figures which will set this off nicely. am i to assume from all your recent purchases I've seen flying around on here lately that you will no longer be buying anything at Telford but just having a look around the displaysOriginally posted by \My youngest has just returned from a day out with this little gem , I didn't know tamiya released other makers kits

Fair point, and I do have a lot of books that I only drag out to answer some arcane question about engine production or somethingOriginally posted by \But we all know what brings us more pleasure
Although some people love books my wife especially she as a mini library going on I find them really boring each to their own as they say. (Marmite)
I do enjoy building my kits, it's just I've never felt the need to collect them. It takes all sorts and happily we have them here! I know a lot of people have stashes that will outlast them (and their immediate descendants

Cheers

Picked up this in TK Max for £9.99 on a flying visit back to the UK.
You're all a bad influence on me, up until now I have only been buying a model as I completed one, now I have a stash! Although this is the entire of my stash. The question is will this count for the under a tenner build?

It's a good kit for an old one not very detailed but goes together well , to really do a good build you'd spend more in after market than you payed but it don't need it really to make a decent lookOriginally posted by \Picked up this in TK Max for £9.99 on a flying visit back to the UK.

I may just wait till Telford and have a look round once were set upOriginally posted by \Picked up this in TK Max for £9.99 on a flying visit back to the UK.

Not allowed to see it yet as it is a Christmas present, been wanting to make this kit for a couple of years now. The Dragon's 1/350 Scharnhorst with Mk1 Models detail-up set and wooden deck. These are internet publicity photos.

OK, not sure how to put images in and Ive saved the image to photobucket, so here goes nothing
Today I popped into a little bookshop run by a little old man. You know the good old fashioned type of bookshop and I found these little Profile Publications at at 95p each.
They had loads of them but I couldnt afford to buy them all
The red ones are
Curtiss P-40 Tomahawk (open)
F4F-3 Wildcat
F4U-I Corsair
SB2C-1 Hellcat
B-25 A toG Mitchell
Blue Ones
F-4 Phantom
Grumman Avenger
Douglas R4D (US Navys DC-3/C-47`s)
A-6A Intruder and EA-6 prowler
F-8A-E Crusader
If anyone wants me to catalogue and/or buy some on your behalf, quite happy to do so.Comment

Tamiya will "buy in" if they find a good one, but as they dont expect a large return they wont invest in the tooling up. So the Hurricane is Italeri and the figures MB. The Japanese market is more to the German and US stuff!Originally posted by \My youngest has just returned from a day out with this little gem , I didn't know tamiya released other makers kits
The Harrier by the way is a Revell boxing of a Hasegawa kit and builds into a nice Harriet. Just watch out when you join the cock pit sub assembly to the main fuselage.Comment

, I knew about the revell kit , I found out when looking for harriers in the 1/48 scale , didn't roman (vajelid) do this kit ? I found one on here with a construction thread and it was out by about 2mm on the section your referring to I'll keep a look out
Thanks Ian
