O, and I also bought some plasters for my fingers and some paracetamol for when Im try to convert the next lot of paint
I also bought a "Groovy chick" mug from a charity shop, so Im looking stylish while I work while also doing my bit for Cancer research. 60p, but gave them a quid.
EDIT - Forgot to add. I also bought a pack of kiddies plasticine to put in nose cones for weighting. I also bought a card index box, some A-Z tabs and cards because you bleeding lot keep posting so much infomation that I cant bookmark all of it, so Im going to write down what I can and store in the box.

No, my main aim is US Navy 1/48 but every now and then something comes along that doesnt fit. For example, I have on its way a double kit in scale 1/24. Just saw it as a change to the normal stuff I like to do.Originally posted by \

Ive gone for 1/48 because I think there is scope to get a little more detail. Ive considered 1/24 as some of those kits are just oozing with detail and features (like for exampe the spitfires with removeable panel showing the engine etc) but I dont seem to find the range of kits that I want exist with a scale that large.Comment

There's also lots of nice stuff in 1/32 (the new Tamiya F-4U Corsair is fantastic), considerably more subjects than in 1/24. For sheer range of subject matter though you can't beat 1/72, especially taking into account all the obscure resin kits in this scale. Many of us mix scales though. I build mainly 72 with an occasional foray into 48, but my last five builds have been 144.Originally posted by \
