Always loved the Mexico and my pal had one ( sadly passed ) but it was the 1600 with ralkeye arches ( late edition he put on. If I believe rightly it was diamond white with a blue strip down the centre 4 spots and wasn't the battery in the boot because the servo was too big??
Will be watching this one when it's built

    Regards

well as I have been having chronic asthma attracts for the last 8 weeks, because this ,
weather and winter is so very strange, with little to no rain, but very cold winds,
I have lost a lot of my drive for building, painting and just molding,
so the next best thing is these,s small building block set,s which I do enjoy,
so hear are my next 3 I have, all around the same size,

Sorry to hear you've not been well Monica. Hope you're feeling better soon. These kits should keep you busy for a while.

I think you're right Robert about the battery, when i had mine it was in there before i got it. I did estimated time rallys back in the day and the Escort i had was built from a 1.3 shell, the guy i got it from took about two years to build a full blown rally car and about the same time to get it running right. You see it was running a 1660 x-flow and he just could not get power from it, so sold it on to me. After about three days of having it i found the problem, the 1.3 shell had a stopper under the throttle pedal on the bulkhead. I cut it out and she went like stink, fun times until i rolled it lol (thats a story for later )

              Have fun, John

Well it's so funny the stories we have that involve Mexicos
My pals Mk1 was a write off when he bought it but everything was there abouts.
He stripped the whole car down to the shell and binned the red shell ( think it was a purple red if memories serve.
Then he bought a Mk1 1.1 raced it to death then stripped it down to the metal and basically put everything of the Mexico in this work arches etc roll bat and yes went like stink
I remember the burn ups at the lights with the then Dolomite triumph sprint and even a Porsche 928!!
                I miss those days
