I recently bought the Jagdpanther II - yet another "perhaps" tank. This one didn't even exists as a single line on a piece of paper, it's just assumed it "might" have happened if the war had continued.
However, when I started building the Jagdpanther II and came to track assembly I almost gave up... Each link consists of 4 parts, that are really complex to assemble - and in the end it's virtually impossible to make them "working" and not just static so I've just thrown in the towel and ordered what I hope are the correct aftermarket tracks?
Friulmodel ATL-21
The prototype Panther II used the same sprockets as the King Tiger and the Jagdtiger. This would make the Jagdpanther II using the very same. Due to side skirts/panels that are tight to the tracks only transport tracks would fit, hence my order of a set of ATL-21, transport tracks.
I can recommend buying Friulmodel from eBay at the moment because one seller is selling them for Dollar right now instead of Euro, and with Swedish money in the pocket they were 8 Euro cheaper by paying US Dollar I don't know the state of Sterling right now but you should have the same phenomena with regards to the current currency exchange rates.
I just remembered what a pain in the ... it was to hand drill out all the pin holes on the Friulmodel tracks... But they are very nice so it's worth the hassle!
If my assumption is wrong that ATL-21 will fit my Jagdpanther II then please let me know, so I can kick myself a bit and then wonder what kit to buy that fits the tracks I just bought
I received this model kit. I been searching to buy 767b or 787b model kit for quite a while. And this is newly released kit from hasegawa. My all time favorite LeMans car.
Goodness arrived from John today....

Haven't done much modelling for months, partly due to family comittments, the purchase of a motorhome (big distration!!) and realising that I'm bored (for the moment) with vehicles. So I bought a 1/48 P47, mainly for the challenge!! At this point, realised that a better airbrush would help me a lot! YOLO and all that!
Got a Zoukei Mura 1/48 Ta 152. Great looking kit.
NOte this isn't my image- Im too lazy. But it looks to be a great kit. It's crammed with plastic
I also got their He 219 on the way.

Thats just the one i treated myself to and must say its a fine piece of kit.
I've been quietly waiting for these two to come along for sensible money, both have been going for daft prices, particularly the JCB. I know I've built both of them previously on here, but I have a cunning new plan.

Incidentally , the Sub. is 1/350 and not, as might appear in the picture, 1/50 - now that would be some kit!
Nice ride out today to Ellesmere model show. I picked up a few kits and even won the the Norton Manx 500 on the tombola not bad for £2. Great day out I'll be going again next year. F
